🏠 Built for homeschool families

You're the curriculum director, the teacher, the grader, and the motivator — all before lunch. That's a lot for one person.

Sage handles the one-on-one tutoring part. It teaches math, science, writing, and more — adapting to each child's level and pace, asking questions instead of handing over answers, and never running out of patience.

You stay in the loop through weekly briefings and a full parent dashboard. No textbooks, no school enrollment, no rigid schedule required. Just set up your child's profile and Sage takes it from there.

Works with any approach — structured curriculum, unschooling, Charlotte Mason, or your own plan.

Weekly Briefings

Every week, Sage tells you exactly how your child is doing.

You shouldn't have to sit in on every session to know if your child is learning. Every week, Sage sends you a plain-English briefing: what they worked on, where they improved, where they still need support, and what to focus on next.

No more guessing. No more wondering if you covered enough. Just a clear picture — delivered to your inbox.

Weekly Briefing — Austin, Grade 3
This week's focus: Fractions (intro) + multiplication review
4 sessions · 87 min total
Improving: Times tables — Austin got 9/10 on his 7× practice. Big improvement from last week.
📌 Still working on: Equivalent fractions. Recommend 2 more focused sessions before moving ahead.
📊 Full progress report available in your dashboard

Sage actually knows your child

From the moment you set up a profile, Sage knows your child's name, their grade, their province or country, and the curriculum their school follows. It doesn't teach every child the same way — it teaches your child the way their teacher would, using the right terminology, the right spelling conventions, and the right grade-level expectations.

As they use Sage, it builds a picture of where they're strong and where they need more support. Every session makes it smarter about how to help them.

💬 "Hey Austin! Last time we worked on your 6 times tables. Want to keep going, or is there something new from school today?"
"We started fractions today and I don't get it at all"
💬 "Fractions trip a lot of people up at first. If you cut a pizza into 4 equal pieces and eat one, what part of the pizza did you eat?"

Know exactly where your child stands — in 15 minutes

Sage runs a quick diagnostic across your child's core subjects. Not a generic quiz — a targeted assessment that maps out where they're at compared to where they should be at this point in the school year.

The results go straight to the parent dashboard: which subjects are strong, which need attention, and where the specific gaps are. If a subject needs deeper work, Sage can run a focused follow-up to pinpoint exactly what's missing.

Most parents have a general sense their child is struggling. The diagnostic tells you exactly what to do about it.

Homework help that teaches, not just answers

Your child takes a photo of their homework sheet. Sage reads it, identifies every question, and walks through it with them — step by step, in a way they can understand. Not just handing over the answer, but actually explaining the thinking behind it.

Available at 9pm when you're exhausted. Patient when they're frustrated. It doesn't make them feel bad for not understanding. And it remembers how they explained something that finally clicked last time.

Homework Session
📷 [photo of worksheet] "I don't understand question 4"
💬 "Question 4 is asking for the area of a rectangle that's 6cm by 4cm. Do you remember the formula? Hint: it's two numbers multiplied together."
"6 times 4?"
💬 "Exactly right! 6 × 4 = 24cm². Want to try question 5 on your own first and I'll check it?"

Your child doesn't need to type a single word

Turn on Talk to Sage once in settings. After that, every session works like a phone call with a tutor — your child taps one button, speaks, and Sage responds out loud. No keyboard. No send button. No menus. Just a conversation.

For younger kids especially, this removes the #1 reason they give up on apps: the interface. A 6-year-old who can't spell "denominator" can still ask about fractions. They just talk. Sage meets them there.

Works in bed before a test. Works in the back seat on the way to school. Works anywhere a child can speak.

🔊 "Okay — if you cut a pizza into 4 equal slices and you eat one, what part of the pizza did you eat? Just say the number."
"One fourth?"
🔊 "Exactly right. You already know fractions — you just didn't know you knew them. Let's go harder..."

You stay informed — without being in every session

The parent dashboard gives you a clear view of what each child has been working on, how many sessions they've had, which concepts they've mastered, and where they still need work. Pull a full report card on demand.

You don't need to sit beside them while they work. Sage keeps you in the loop so you know if they're improving, if they're stuck somewhere, or if a subject needs more attention.

Early Access

Be one of the first families to try Sage.

Sage is new — and we're honest about that. We're not going to fill this page with quotes we made up.

We built Sage because we couldn't find anything that actually worked the way a real tutor works — patient, personalized, and keeping the parent informed. If that sounds like what you've been looking for, the 7-day free trial is the right place to start.

Early families get a product that's genuinely cared about — and direct access to the people building it.

Accessibility

Built for every kind of learner

Every child reads and processes information differently. Sage includes a dedicated Reading Mode that switches the entire app to OpenDyslexic — a font specifically designed to reduce common reading errors and make text easier to follow for children who find standard fonts difficult.

It's not a workaround. It's built in, and it turns on with one tap. The words on screen should never be the reason a child can't learn.

Combined with full voice conversations — where your child can simply speak instead of read — Sage works for children across a wide range of learning styles and needs.

FAQ

Common questions

How is Sage different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a general AI — it doesn't know your child's grade, curriculum, or learning history. Sage is built specifically for K-12 tutoring. It follows your school's curriculum, remembers what your child struggles with, and teaches step-by-step instead of giving answers.
Will it just give my child the answers?
No. Sage is designed to teach, not solve. When your child asks for help with homework, Sage walks them through the thinking — just like a real tutor would. They learn the process, not just the answer.
What if I have multiple children?
One subscription covers every child in your household. Each child gets their own profile, their own progress tracking, and their own personalized experience. Whether you have 1 child or 5, the price is the same.
Is my child's data safe?
Yes. Sage takes privacy seriously. Your child's conversations and progress data are private to your family. We don't sell data or share it with third parties. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel during your free trial and you won't be charged. Cancel after and your subscription ends at the end of the billing period. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
Does it work for children with learning disabilities?
Sage includes a dedicated dyslexia-friendly mode (OpenDyslexic font) and full voice conversations — so children who struggle with reading can speak to Sage instead. We're building additional accessibility features based on parent feedback.
What subjects does Sage cover?
Math, English/Reading, Science, Social Studies, History, French, and Writing — from Kindergarten through Grade 12. More subjects are added based on parent and teacher feedback.
What if my child's school isn't in Alberta?
Sage supports multiple curricula: Alberta Program of Studies, US Common Core, England's National Curriculum, and a generic international option. Ontario and BC support are coming soon. More regions are added based on demand.
Is Sage designed for homeschool families?
Yes — and it's one of the things Sage does best. You can set your child's grade, choose a curriculum (or select "no specific curriculum") and Sage handles the one-on-one instruction from there. It tracks what's been covered, sends you weekly briefings, and adapts to each child's pace. No school enrollment, class schedule, or textbook required.
My child has an IEP. Can Sage support them?
Sage is built with accessibility in mind — it includes a full dyslexia-friendly mode (OpenDyslexic font), voice conversations so children who struggle with typing or reading can speak to Sage instead, and infinite patience for children who need more time or repetition. It adapts its explanations to the level your child is at, regardless of grade. Sage isn't a replacement for the specialized support in an IEP, but many families find it a valuable complement — a patient, judgment-free tutor available whenever their child needs it. We're actively building more accessibility features based on parent feedback.
How accurate is Sage for advanced math?
Sage handles K-12 math well, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus. For standard curriculum topics at Grade 12 and below, it's accurate and teaches step-by-step reasoning rather than just producing answers. Like any AI, it can occasionally make errors on complex multi-step problems — which is why we encourage kids to work through the steps with Sage rather than just accepting the final answer. If you're preparing a child for advanced competition math or university-level courses, Sage is a strong foundation but we'd recommend supplementing with a human specialist for the highest levels.
When will Ontario and BC curriculum support be available?
Ontario and BC are our top two priorities for curriculum expansion and are actively in development. We're targeting both within the next few months. In the meantime, families in Ontario and BC can use Sage with the Generic/Homeschool setting — it covers the same core subjects and grade-level expectations, just without the province-specific outcome labels. Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and other provinces are on the roadmap after that. If your province matters to you, drop us a note at [email protected] — demand helps us prioritize.
